This wine was produced from 100% Merlot grapes that were harvested selectively by hand from a choice plot in the Karmei Yosef vineyard, located on the slopes of the Judean Hills.
The wine went through some two weeks of alcoholic fermentation, and afterward the grape skins were pressed. However, only the free run liquid went through the second fermentation, in order to achieve a refined, round and velvety wine. The wine was aged for 8 months in French oak barrels.
This wine is a typical Merlot, of dense maroon red color with shades of purple. It has aromas of ripe black and red fruit with prominent wood flavors, a pleasant rich texture on the palate and ripe, gentle tannin.
